Welcome, Freshmen

I met a classroom full of Week 1’ers last night in Kristen’s class, and I’m very excited to see how they fare in their first couple of weeks.  My first week was spent experimenting with the meal replacements and exploring practices and procedures that worked for me.  It’s different for everyone.

What advice do you have for “the new kids”?

and for the “new kids,”

Do you have any questions that you’d like the readers to respond to?

It will get easier…that first few days I thought I’d go crazy. But I stuck to it.

Well, I am one of the newbies from last night (feeling like a vienna sausage in my uniform). I am very excited about the program and hope I do ok on it this week. It was great to have someone like you in the class last night, who has gone through and had success. What an inspiration! I will be following your blog.

If you still have a pair of those “skinny jeans”, pull them out. Visualize how you will look wearing them. Visualize yourself slim and healthier, wearing the type of cloths you might have avoided for a while (or in my case, a very long while). The more you can keep that image in your mind, the easier those first few weeks become.

I was in the same class as Daniel, and he was an ongoing source of inspiration. At week 18 I am about to move into pants 8″ smaller in the waist than when we started. And my progress pales compared to my friend Daniel’s. It takes a bit to get fully involved in the program, but the results of seeing that visual image start to take shape makes it seem so easy.

    • I’m just now getting into pants 6″ smaller. You’re outpacing me in that metric, John! I have a closet full of belts and pants that I’m not yet able to fit into. Maybe some day 🙂

John, that is amazing. It is stories like these that will keep me going. Just finished my final supplement for the day-cream of potato soup, with taco seasoning and ranch dressing, made into chips. Dipped in my wonderful Walden Farms Blue Cheese Dressing. Yes, I can do this!!! I even bought my husband sushi so he wouldn’t feel deprived.

I’m a newbie too!! You’re already an inspiration to me! I was trying to give my husband to 411 on everyone and I sure bragged about you. He will be there with me next week. It’s definitely been bearable since he will be doing the program with me. I love your blog!!! Congrats on your success already!!
