Pandora Workout Radio

“Do you really spend 2 hours a day at the gym?”  Yes.  “What keeps you going?” Pandora.  If you aren’t familiar with it, Pandora is a free service that lets you stream music to your computer or smart phone.  Since I have unlimited data on Sprint, I can listen to Pandora as much as I like without having to worry about data usage.

I find that most of the songs that “Workout Radio” and “Pop Fitness Radio” play are perfect for the elliptical machine, keeping the steps going in time with the beat.  The elliptical machine even lets me display the number of cycles per minute, so I can tell if a song is too fast or too slow.  I like to keep it in the 125-140 range.

I use the commercials that Pandora plays as a chance to take a breather.  After a number of upbeat songs in a row, it’s so good to hear about the benefits of shopping for cars at Landers Toyota!  If my heartbeat is too high, I’ll switch to half-speed for a verse, or lower the resistance on the machine.

What keeps you working at full bore?
