I woke up this morning to an email that I receive about once a month — my bill for Dish Network. It was about $6.00 higher than it has been, so I called them to ask why. Normally, I would access my account online and do the research myself, but I was in a hurry to get to work.
Simply put, Dish Network raised their rates. Simply put, I haven’t turned my TV on in 2-3 weeks. I get more than enough screen time at work, on my phone, and at my laptop at home. Now that I work out 6 days a week; plan for, prepare, and analyze all of my meals; and still manage to keep a reasonable social calendar, I don’t have time for television. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
In the back of my mind, I’ve been thinking about canceling my satellite service for a while. In maintenance class this week, we discussed how there’s a correlation between weight loss success and limited screen time. This email was the motivation I needed to take action.
