Painlessly Portioning Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is a food that I cannot live without.  Not just because it’s yummy, but because it’s a healthy source of fat and protein.  I eat several servings of peanut butter every day — on my toast, on crackers, and on graham crackers — but I am very careful about my portions.  Peanut butter is a very calorie-dense food, meaning that you can consume many more calories than you intended to if you’re not careful.  This video shows my technique for getting just the right about each time.

I live and die by my food scale, which I picked up for less than $20.  When measuring calorie-dense foods, it’s important to me that I know that I’m eating the right amounts.  Here’s an older post I wrote about this topic.
