Are there things in your life that you do that bring you inner peace? Meditation? Hot showers? Calm music? For me, it’s peeling carrots.
I’m not sure what it is, but standing in the kitchen prepping carrots gives me a chance to zone out and chill. I get a lot of good ideas for blog posts while zipping my way through a couple of pounds of carrots. Chopping, weighing, and bagging carrots always brings me back out of it, but there’s something calming about the peeling process. Since I eat 6 oz of peeled carrots a day, which is over 135 pounds per year, I get a lot of quality time with my favorite peeler.
