It’s the last week of classes at the college, and the students are talking about where they’re going for the summer and what their plans are. As a bigger guy, long-distance travel was out of the question. Imagining being on a trans-continental plane trip was terrifying — not because of the typical “flying on a plane” fears, but because of those “flying on a plane as an obese individual” fears.
I’ve written before about flying as a large individual. Now that I’m comfy in even the most cramped of plane seats, it’s down to deciding where to set my sights. Rome? Paris? Berlin? London? Sydney? Domestically, I’d love to see Hawaii. Realistically, I’m not going anywhere until I’ve saved money to cover the expense.
