Not every recipe I try comes to fruition. When I started cooking, each and every recipe was followed to the letter. Even then, sometimes things went haywire. Now that I’m developing a bit more intuition in the kitchen, it’s a weird and wonderful place to be. Experimentation is not new to me. When I started eating Health One Meal Replacements, I made all sorts of wonderful things with them, including a personal pineapple upside down cake. One creation that never came out right, even after the fifth iteration, was fudgesicles.
Each and every attempt was tasty, but none were what I was going for. Whether they were too rubbery, too gooey, or wouldn’t set, I had a mess on my hands.
Pina Colada Yogurt. It sounded like a good idea at the time. A little bit of coconut extract. A dash of rum extract. Maybe some fresh strawberries. No. It was undeniably disastrous, and it must never be discussed again.
