The slideshow below includes photos of me in the pants I wore when beginning this journey.  I keep them nearby to remember where I’ve been, and I snap a photo of my “current” body in my “starting pants” each month to reflect on how far I’ve come.

    Daniel,
Theresa Motley here, we met at Drug Emporium last night. I love your web site! Your progress is amazing. You are my new hero! I tried that DaVinci peanut butter flavor this morning and i wish I just bought another PB2 instead. Not a fan. Hey, you know what might be cool? To bring stuff we bought but don’t like to class and do a trade off.
    Keep up the good work,
    Theresa

I think that’s a wonderful idea! I made a shake with a chocolate meal replacement and the DaVinci peanut butter syrup this morning for breakfast; I could certainly use it. I’m willing to sacrifice a bit with the syrup because it is a zero calorie product. Have you tried putting the syrup in a vanilla meal replacement microwave muffin?

    • Tiana Haley says:

I’ve actually done that before Theresa. Someone didn’t like the Chicken Soup, and I didn’t like the Strawberry shake mix, so we traded. Good trade-off. It’s better than it sitting there going to waste.

    Peanut butter syrup? Yummy!

HEY DANIEL, I’M PAM STATED THE PROGRAM LAST NIGHT. SO FAR THIS MORINING, TRIED VANILLA REPLACEMENT WITH COFFEE AN SWEET AN LOW AND YUK! IT WAS WAY TO SWEET– BUT AT 10 AM HAD JUST THE CHOC SHAKE, IT WAS BETTER, I GUESS THIS IS GOING TO TAKE SONE TIME, BUT SEEING THAT YOU DID IT IS HELPPING ME ALREADY!!!

    • Glad you’re starting your journey, Pam! Try making a muffin. Spray a coffee mug with nonstick spray, put in a chocolate meal replacement with a Splenda packet, and stir in enough water to make a cake batter. Microwave it for 60-70 seconds. Good luck! The first two weeks are the toughest. YOU CAN DO THIS!

  4. Was showing off your progress to a coworker. We made an obervation on the photo dated May 9: Your waistline diameter appears to have reduced by the length of your forearm!!

You’re doing a great job Daniel. Keep up the good work!!!

I’ve been on this program once. Started in middle of April 2007, and started maintenance in October 2007. I wish I had of stayed on it longer, because my weight started creeping back up on maintenance. I didn’t reach my goal either, so that’s why I wish I had of done it longer. As of the end of December 2011, I had gained all my 52-1/2 lbs. back + 15 more lbs. on top of that. Took off 44 by myself by May 2012, but have only been able to maintain, which I’m not complaining. I’m starting back on the program on either Friday July 27 or Monday July 30th. I would like to get 35 or 40 more off.

The program definitely works, and you don’t get bored with all the recipes you can make. I plan on being religious with it this time. I’ve been maintaining since May 2012, so I know what I can do and what I can’t do. That’s the key to the whole program, is being able to maintain once you get your weight off. Exercise is so important as well. Even if you walk 30 minutes a day. That’s better than nothing. I take stairs whenever I have the opportunity, as well.

I personally don’t see how anyone can tolerate the “Walden Farms” products. YUCK!!! I would rather eat with nothing on lettuce, then to eat that crap. I tried all the brands too. I agree on the peanut butter syrup also. Some of the Da Vinci syrups just don’t have much flavor. I totally believe in them though. I love the Blueberry syrup the most.

  7. Wow just wow. Great job.

  8. amazing, this is how I envisioned my blog to become, when I was started eating healthy, but then I’m failing at it. This is such an inspiration.

Started my journey 4 days ago. Taking this one day at a time. Feel kind of weak at times. I keep hearing the first 2 weeks are the toughest. How soon can we have fruits and vegetables
